How to get a great tan without roasting in the sun all day
I love having a great tan. I am so white that I look half dead if I don’t have some color so summer is something I look forward to so I can get a tan. For years I sat in the sun roasting away and when I was a teenager I actually had a sun lamp I used all of the time. It actually would help my acne dry up so I used it a lot.
I bet I will be sorry one day but for now I don’t have cancer. I am getting age spots all over and those spots that show on TV when they put your skin under an ultraviolet light.
I decided I would look into alternative methods to get a tan so I turned to the beauty product aisle at the Commissary. This past week I found something called Jergens Natural Glow Express, a sunless tanner.

It even had a $1.00 coupon so it was just over $5. You can purchase this product just about anywhere, CVS, Target, Wal-mart, etc. If you get it I suggest you go with the Express version. They have other ones that are more gradual but take longer. This is super quick and it also doesn’t streak.
I used it 3 times already and love it. The bottle says it gives you an Express tan in 3 days. It starts working within one day. Another thing I like is that it is just like using lotion. It doesn’t smell like sun tan lotion and has a nice smell just like any other lotion. It gives my skin a nice golden look that look natural.
I still remember the years a long time ago when they were first inventing this kind of product. It would turn your palms orange. It is still true that you have to wash you hands immediately or it will stain your palms but now they just look tanned and not orange so that is good.
Here is a shot of my ankle at day 3 of using the Jergens Sunless tanner Express lotion.

Some might say, why are you putting chemicals on your skin and my answer is, what about all of the rest of things we do to our bodies? If this is so bad then I better stop washing my hair because almost all of the shampoo out there is made out of chemicals, soap is the same, and then there is the bleach and dye we put on our hair to give it color and hairspray that will kill a bug at 50 paces. I figure this is no different and I like the look so I’m using it for now.
Update: After using this product for 3 days it turned some of my skin more orange than tan. You definitely have to watch it around your ankles because you will get streaks. I would suggest using it for 3 days. This product is really designed to give you a tan quick. I like the Neutrogena Build-a-Tan sunless tanning lotion better I think because it never turned my skin orange. I used that for several years and thought I would give this Jergens sunless lotion a try.
FTC: This is a personal review of a product I purchased with my own money.

I’ve used it too, and I think it works pretty well.
I like to go to the salon and get a spray tan;it looks really great! I baked in the tanning beds as well and have paid for it every since. If you haven’t already I recommend getting a skin check from a dermatologist yearly. I commend you for going the alternative route!
I love Jergens Natural Glow Express too! Especially after trying several other more expensive brands. Looks great!
