StyleFixx Boston Review: Girls Night Out
What gal doesn’t need a night out with her best girlfriends to kick back and forget about the week’s stresses – and mid week at that? It sure makes the rest of the week fly by. That is just what hundreds of women of all ages did at last Wednesday’s Style Fixx in Boston.
As I entered the Boston Center for the Arts in the theater district I was hit by a wave of excitement and thumping music. This was definitely a party in the making. Samples of Soushi were being given out as women sipped on a special cocktails made just for the occasion called X-Rated Fusion - a special blend of vodka, club soda and Fusion mix. These came in lemonade or berry flavors and my favorite was the berry. After a few of these it’s definitely a party. All of this was going on in the midst of shopping, massages, and makeovers. Oh, and of course, there was the “eye candy” – fabulous young guys serving drinks and staring at the one young lady whose skirt was way too short – yes, we all saw you.
Style Fixx is definitely a fun night out and I suggest you try to go whenever it comes to your area. The cost is $10 to get in the door and an additional $20 if you want to get a swag bag. The swag bag is most definitely worth the price as it is chocked full of goodies like Lindt chocolates, Vitamin water, full-size samples from hair care products to trendy fake nails from Nailene. I would say there were about 20 items in the bag and the bag itself was nice.
Here’s a tip from two ladies I interviewed at StyleFixx Boston. Go to Groupon.com and you can get your tickets for half price. They paid $15.00 for their tickets, which included swag bags, instead of the regular $30.00 price.
A suggestion from 3 other ladies we talked with at the event for StyleFixx. Don’t give out so many drink and maybe provide some food instead. Each person is given 5 tickets on their wristband to get 5 drinks of their choice. Well, you can see where that would lead. A lot of drunk women on the streets 
but of course that is what a cab is for right? Still, maybe 3 drinks and some h’orderves would be a good idea for StyleFixx to think about.
StyleFixx is a fab event and they know how to throw a great party. It’s a lot of fun and the energy is high so it is a fun night out for you and your girlfriends and you won’t be disappointed with the shopping either. The latest fashions were available for you to snatch up at great prices. There were trendy sweaters for $25 and bags and hats galore. My favorite item was a burned out t-shirt from Foxyv.com
The next StyleFixx is coming up in New York City, October 21st & 22nd, 2009, from 5 until 10 pm, where you can shop from over 55 designers and meet Project Runway Designer Kara Janx.
